On September 19, 2020, the brothers of Zeta Upsilon Lambda participated in the Adopt-A-Highway program along routes 7443 and 6337 in the Reston, VA. Not only does the effort show Zeta Upsilon Lambda's love and support for the community, it also shows its beautiful and clean community. The Adopt-a-Highway program provides communities with opportunities in keeping their community and roadways clear of litter and trash.
Virginia Department of Transportation reports that each year, nearly 18,000 Adopt-a-Highway volunteers collect more than 25,600 bags of waste along Virginia’s highways and estimates a savings of over $1.35 million in clean up of Virginia’s roadways.
