ZUL continued to partner with the Chantilly Pyramid Minority Student Achievement Committee (CPMSAC) at the 32nd annual Youth Motivation and Academic Awards program held on June 3. CPMSAC works with students of color in the western Fairfax County area of Northern Virginia. CPMSAC partners with local schools in offering free tutorial programs such as Saturdays Toward Excellence Program (STEP) and Project BEST (Building Excitement for Science and Technology) program. Six graduating seniors were awarded scholarships, and over 800 awardees were presented with plaques, trophies, and certificates for their achievements. Chapter brother and CPMSAC member Chuck Coffin, encouraged the students, “to continue to work hard because the best is yet to come."
